Editorial Review

The purpose of the editorial policy is to describe how we ensure that the content on our site is trustworthy and accurate. It is important that we outline how we distinguish between editorial content that is subject to review and out community content and advertisements which are not.

What Do We Do

Our aim is to provide helpful information regarding different types of elder care services and ways of funding those services.

We do not provide medical advice, rather we provide medical information.

Your doctors and medical professionals are the only ones who can provide you with accurate medical advice on your health decisions because they understand your personal history. We are not and do not claim to be a substitute for your doctor.

Where Do We Get Our Content From?

Our content consists of four forms: editorial content, community content, and advertisements.

Editorial Content

The editorial content on our website contains articles, video files, graphics, calculators, and trackers. There is two types of editorial content on our website.

  1. Carecrunch content which we create or commission
  2. Contributed content which is written by our guest bloggers.

Editorial content is chosen by our content management team and is subject to editorial and medical review.

Community Content

Community content is user generated content that appears in the “Community” tab of our website. Community content may also appear at other places in the website. You are able to tell the difference between community content and other editorial content by the subdomain attached to the web address as well as other indicators. Users can create their own blogs, comment, and submit content. Because of the changing nature of the community content we do not subject it to medical review.

We plan to provide advertising through banner ads and text links in the near future. The advertising will not influence our decisions about what editorial content to feature. We will clearly distinguish between editorial content and advertising so that all promotions, advertising, and sponsorships will be clearly labeled as such.
