Randy Farber is an alumnus of the UCLA School of Public Health and holds a Master’s in Health Administration.
With more than 25 years experience in the health care industry, Randy has held executive positions in payer and provider organizations, for companies large and small (from his own consulting firm to a Fortune 100 company) giving him a global view of health care, and business in general. He has led organizations as small as five employees to as large as 1,000.
Some of the positions Randy has held include: Administrator of a 150-physician multi-specialty group practice, Vice President of Provider Relations for two statewide HMO’s, Executive Director of a multi-site Oncology network, CEO of a 130,000 member IPA, and most recently as the principal of his own consulting firm, with clients ranging from solo practitioners to Fortune 500 health care companies.
Randy is a seasoned speaker on the professional lecture circuit, and is an instructor at California State University, Northridge. He is active in numerous UCLA Alumni Association programs, serving as Chair of the Scholarship Steering Committee. He and his wife, Patty, host an annual fundraising dinner that benefits the Farber Family Scholarship which is in its 6th year of recognizing outstanding entering freshman. In addition to their commitment to academic excellence, the Farbers are avid UCLA basketball fans, never missing a game from their season seats in legendary Pauley Pavilion.
